After you have collected your bags, make your way to the Ayers Rock Resort Shuttle meeting point where you will be transferred to Desert Gardens. This evening you will be mesmerized by the critically acclaimed Field of Light Uluru by the internationally celebrated artist Bruce Munro. The exhibition, aptly named Tili Wiru Tjuta Nyakutjaku or ‘looking at lots of beautiful lights’ in local Pitjantjatjara is Munro’s largest work to date.

Before sunrise, you will head out to the best vantage point to see the 36 domes that comprise this spiritual place while watching the suns morning glow as the desert comes alive. Next you will head over to the west side of Kata Tjuta to relax and enjoy an outback picnic breakfast. Discover the entrance to Walpa Gorge, named for the wind (Walpa) that whistles between the massive domes that shape Kata Tjuta, your guide will share the significance of this men’s sacred ceremonial site.
This afternoon, travel back through the landscapes to the base of Uluru where you will uncover the entrance of Mutitjulu Waterhole, hear about the Creation stories of Liru (venomous snake) and Kuniya (woma python) and fin ancient rock art of the Anangu people and learn how Uluru was, and still is, a significant location for teaching young Aboriginal people. Finally experience uninterrupted view of Uluru with Kata Tjuta in the background as the sun sets while enjoying a chilled sparkling wine.

Today is at our own leisure. Make sure to take advantage of the many fantastic activities Voyages have on offer around the resort with bush food experiences, Digeridoo workshops and guided Garden walks.

After collecting your car, depart from Ayers Rock Resort in the morning, drive to Kings Canyon Resort (3-4 hours). Check-in and relax. Explore shorter walks around Kings Canyon if time permits.

Start early for the Kings Canyon Rim Walk. Take time to explore highlights like the Garden of Eden and the Lost City. Afterwards you will travel across to Alice Springs where you might have time to explore town center and sunset view up on ANZAC Hill.

Depending on your travel arrangements, explore Alice Springs in the morning. Visit attractions like Alice Springs Desert Park or the Royal Flying Doctor Service Visitor Centre. Return your hired car and prepare for departure from Alice Springs.
